Centrelink payments are generally based on national eligibility rules, so living in Sydney does not by itself determine which payment you can receive. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to claim JobSeeker Payment, Parenting Payment, Family Tax Benefit, the Age Pension or another support payment, with income, assets, residence and personal circumstances considered by Services Australia. You can check options and lodge a claim through your myGov account linked to Centrelink, or get help at a Services Australia service centre in Sydney. Rent Assistance may also be assessed with some payments if you meet the relevant requirements.
